Amen! Nothing any of us could do or ever COULD have done would merit that salvation that our Lord so freely and lovingly gave us when he laid down his life's blood on the cross so that we might escape such an end. The price had to be paid, and instead of letting us, who earned it, pay that price, He stepped forward and paid it in our stead. It'll never make sense to me how believers can be as haughty as some tend to be. Thanks, RL, for a great verse.
