I replaced the drivers side inside handle with an aftermarket door handle from Amazon.com, for my 1996 Silverado. It was made by Dorfman, looks just like the original and works very well. Price was reasonable. I would try them first.

Rockauto.com has several starting at $5. I use them any time I don't need a part today and haven't had a problem in 8 or 9 years since I found them

.And I thought I was the only one ! Come to find out its aftermarket standard equipment on 67s.

You can use www.gmpartsdirect.com to find the part number. Then search for eBay for that part number. This comes in handy for newer vehicles for parts that are coded. Give the seller your VIN and they will program the part for you. GM decided to code a bunch of parts that should never have it. Like the drivers side window control panel in my '05 Canyon. The stupid thing talks to everything else for no good reason.
