I'm looking for a load with IMR 4895 for my 300 bk AR it's the only rifle powder I have today.

AR 16" 1:8 twist
pistol gas length
150gr / or 160gr PC'd GC'd boolits.

What works for you ? My books are old and don't have 300 bk.

Thanks CC

Hodgdon's reloading data center has loads listed. I suggest you buy new manuals as well.

I know it's on my list, I just finished it to day and wanted to shoot it. Two more days till I get to town.

If IMR 4895 is the only powder you have....you ain't gonna be shooting that 300 blk except as a single shot, waaayyyy too slow of a powder.

Usually a powder like AA1680 or faster is best for the 300 BO or Whisper. You might get the 322 to work but it might not cycle the action. Your Titewad is too fast but light loads could be used but again it probably won't cycle the action.
The slowest powder Hodgdon shows on their website is 4198 with jacketed bullets heavier than what you have.
A check of the powder and bullet company websites is always good as it is free and normally up to date data.

yes its a lot slower than what is normally loaded BUT I got pulled Czech 54R (very similar to 4895) to fun fine in mine with 185 gr cast bullets . So go ahead and load up 5 or 10 rounds and see what happens . It just may work . I believe my load was 17 or so grs it was 100% load density but with as slow as it is you can't get enough in that case to be over pressure .

H4895 cycled 155's in 2 carbine length uppers we have. I don't remember the charge but I abandoned them because of issues with extreme spread.

I used the IMR 4895 @ 17grn. with 160grn. Lee PC'd Gc'd and they cycled with empty mag hold open. Now I wait for the LGS to get some proper powder to develop some good loads thanks for the help.
