Check out Krieger. They are spendy and a wait time but they will make it to you specs. I got a 24" from them almost 25 years ago that is still a laser.

Are you looking for an HBAR-contour barrel with an A-frame front sight base? Bushmaster used to make one, and DPMS may have also. I've noticed the past couple of years that it's difficult to find much besides M4-contour carbine barrels and pistol-length barrels. You may be talking about a custom one-off proposition these days. If it comes to that, I would personally see about starting with a completed bull or heavy barrel, and have the front end contoured the way you want it. I know someone who could make you anything you want in the way of AR barrels, but any competent gunsmith SHOULD be able to do this job.

Criterion, they list a 24" Bull barrel stainless steel, and many others. Fulton Armory is a sales outlet for them. Try Criterion's site, AR-15, then make sure to scroll down on what you might be interested in, they list several options for their barrels, (length, caliber, etc).

I just rebarreled an M-1 rifle with one of their barrels and am very pleased indeed. I believe CMP uses Criterion barrels also.

Criterion is a part of Kriegers Barrels last I knew, the button rifling division. Kriegers are cut rifled. Krieger should have what you want criterion may or be able to contour to what you want. Pac Nor, Mc Gowen, Lilja may also have what you want. iYou need to decide which twist rate you want and what chamber style you want before calling. I have several kriegers on ARs ( NRA match and service rifles) and on M1As and they are excellent barrels. Krieger can install the barrel extension and time chamber it so when you recieve it its ready to install. Look at the websites and see what is offered and what you want to do with the rifle. My AR MAtch rifles have 26" barrels on them. Service rifles are 20". For Krieger barrels its normally 8-10 weeks for a special.

Okay, I just looked and Bushmaster still catalogs this type of barrel. Whether or not they actually have any in stock is another matter.

WOA has a 24" varmint barrels in stock. Stainless 1-8 or 1-12 twist with fitted gas manifold. Many NRA High Power shooters use his barrels. I've had good luck with them.

I appreciate all the efforts to help but, once again, I don't want a bull barrel. I want a 24in barrel contoured like a standard H-Bar barrel only longer. used to see them on about every AR website but haven't been able to locate one since I got the urge to build another one.

I looked the bushmaster catalog over from end to end & saw no 24in H-bar barrels. maybe when they get the site reconstructed.

Just been on Model 1 sales, they show them, and checked x-caliber barrels, you can order one there too with Hbar configuration

Black Hole Weaponry has what you're looking for

I would also recommend Green Mountain Barrels if they'll cut you a 24". I've got 3 18" SS experimental barrels from them in .223 Wylde
(1:14, 1:6 and 1:5 twist)
