Any of you folks fooling with this round? I am on the short end of getting one ready. The only CB mould I have at this time is the Lee. Sorry, but this time fram I am not stuck on a CB for the time being,so a FLGC load that is soft will work fine.
The bore is rougher than I like and if cleaned with wipe out takes at least 40 rounds to settle it down.
I am using a 139-145 FLGC as of now. Powder is VVN135, that is what is killing me. Only have enough of that for maybe 20 rounds. If I had enough of it for 50 I would be happy for the time being.
I have plenty of 4895, Unique, 2015 an most other popular type powders. Throw somting at me if you can.
Thanks
Jeff

This thread is mostly about pistols, but there might be some load info there that helps you. I hope it does.

Saeco makes a good flat point gas check mould for the 7-30 Waters !

It is a great cartridge and rifle, after you remove the rebound idiocy so it is reliable. I firelapped my rifle and it will shoot under an inch at one hundred yards with Hornady 139 FP's and VV 140. I have not shot much cast yet, too little time and lousy weather(for shooting). [I] do have the Seaco flat nose, RCBS 168 fn and the Lyman 140 round nose for starters. Maybe sometime this summer...........................................

Jeff, you didn't say rifle or pistol. The standard load for the 7R in a pistol with that sort of bullet was about 18 gr. of 4759, which I know you have.
