Anybody ever paper patch a .22 boolit?

I don know. I guess if you've got good enough hands....... (I've heard guys here complaining about just getting gas checks on 22s). I kinda think you might be pushing the limits of tolerances on the small side here. I.E. the smaller boolit needed to paper patch makes the proportion of the diameter that is paper much larger than with even a .30 cal. Something to guess about (consider).

Yes, and its not too fun with big fingers.

I tried .250 dia. to .258 and after 20 or so I gave up. My fat little fingers just didnt work well on those little boogers!

Well, at 48 the fingers still work, just wish the eyes would keep up. Cheapo reading glasses currently solve that problem.

I figured a cigeratte rolling machine modified with paper guides might be the trick.

anyway, Just thinking forward to some things I want to try when the 22-250 barrel gets here. I am going to go play with the Cast Bullet Assoc. guys at the club this fall/winter. I look at it as a challenge, I will have fun plus I will learn. Plus it's cheep to shoot!

A 20 cal. boolit may be the right size, Anyone have a 20 cal. mold? LOL. DALE
