Amen to all above. Lost mine in '91. I still miss him, but occasionally, feel his silent gaze and that look on his face, as if to say, "OK, boy. Whacha' gonna' do now? You gonna' let it control you or are you gonna' control it?" He never had to say many words. He could say more with a look than any man I've ever known. I miss him and Mom both. Lost her in '99. And I still hear her whispering in my ear, "Now son! You know better than that!" Moms and Dads NEVER really leave us. Never!

Thank you all for your kind words. I am lucky to still have Dad around he rides around daily on his mule checking his 5 kid's places ( we all live on the farm) and he still tends cattle and does tractor work! We lost Mom 3 yrs ago and I miss her daily. I know several rich influential men and not a one can hold a candle to Dad. I had a great day with our children (grown) They wanted steakhouse but I asked my wife to take us to Dairy Queen haha.We had a great time!

500, thanks for that pic! Best laugh I've had yet! It's one of those moments when you feel blessed and cursed, all at the same time over the same event! I doubt there's ever been a parent who hasn't felt that way due to some event of some type.

Kind'a points up the need for a sense of humor, and a good bead on what money and love are worth, and what they're not.
