Amen! A man can have "everything" in life, but if his children go bad, he'll always feel like a failure. I've seen it in action. Yet, the simplest folk, who raise good children, even when they meet some dire circumstances, always feel "lucky" and blessed. Children are nor our possessions, they're a little bit of us, in another container, and reflect very much on us, or at least tend to. Today, with parents being just one of MANY influences on them, having good children is an "extra special" blessing, but it's greatly enhanced by keeping them in church and associating with a good crowd, though today, bad ones are everywhere. It seems Satan has infiltrated every nook and cranny, even in our churches.

And there's never been and never will be a substitute for spending time with them. No shortcuts work, and nothing substitutes. There's really no such thing as "quality time," and the concept itself implies neglect. Time together engenders mutual respect and understanding, and without those, most everything else is pretty much in vain.

Amazing how when we just simply read and think about the Bible's many verses of good advice and truths, we get "smarter" and more effective, isn't it? Yet another clue of just how inspired and supernatural it truly is.
