I am trying to purchase some 30-30 brass to convert to 32-40 and came across some Fiocchi brass at a local dealer. Has anybody used Fiocchi brass for conversion to other sizes and or used it for reloading and would care to comment on its quality and viability for conversion which may put different stresses on it than just reloading? And how was the primer fit? I assume that they are conventional boxer primed cases? I have used Fiocchi shotgun shells for reloading with some success, but the brass/steel bases tend to crack on me through the resizing process. So I wondered about the rifle brass.

Fiocchi .223 and 9mm have been good for me. The .223 converted to 300BO without issue. They make great cartridges and I've been reloading their brass fine. I see no reason there's be any particular problem with anything in their line.

All the Fiocchi brass I have used has been top drawer. Good stuff.

Fiocchi (GFL headstamp) is great stuff. They also make Perfecta, which I use quite a bit. It's good brass. I've used it in 9mm, .223, .308, and several others.

I've never had a problem with Fiocchi 9mm Par or 45 ACP brass. Good case life and no offcenter flash holes.

I've had abot 50 cases for .44 Magnum. Throwed them mostly away after a few reloadings, very stiff and brittle. I would not use GFL brass anymore if I have another chance.

I have some in 9 mm and they reload fine. Got them with a purchase of fired brass from a local range. Some of the other brass from Europe seems to be brittle.

Fiocchi 223 brass in my favorite. Nice tight primer pockets that don't loosen through many firings.

I have seen offset flash holes in both 357 and 223 with Fiocchi brass.

No problems with it in .223, 9mm, .38 sp, or .45 ACP. Isn't it made in Missouri under contract from Fiocchi?

Fiocchi and GFL are quite good. Stay away from Perfecta, the flash hole is extremely rough.

All I know is that the last case of 223 I purchased (stash ammo...there will come a time....) was made in Missouri.

I know where their shotshell plant is just South of Springfield, Missouri. Maybe they make all their brass there too?

I form several different cartridges from 30-30 brass. Fiocchi brass in 30-30 was a little soft as was 308 brass. I pushed the shoulder in on several of the 308's converting to 6.5 CM

GFL standard caliber brass 9,45, 223 etc. seem fine. I sort by Head-stamp for everything and have never had any issues with GFL. I do have a few range pickup 30-30 cases from GFL and they don't seem any different than the Federal or RP I have. I can dent the neck of all three brands with pressure from my finger nail but I don't think that is out of the norm for 30-30 but I don't reload for it.

Perfecta brass in 223 has the flash hole off center farther than any other brass I've come across. Other than possible damage to the decapping pin I see no other problems reloading it. I like Fiocchi shotgun hulls, they are a little softer brass and will show pressure signs before other brands do. Gp
