Just wondering about this.
The 38-200 has a 361di boolet.
I've seen some factory loaded with lighter boolets.
I've never seen it loaded with jacketed bullets.
Normally lead boolets are sized larger than jacketed for the same caliber.
So what would be the correct size jacketed for the 38 S&W???????

If 361di, wouldn't that be to large????

Jacketed bullet should fit cylinder throats, .360+ for British revolvers and .359 for S&W, Colt and H&R.
Cylinder determines revolver bullet diameter, NOT barrel groove diameter.

My Albion Enfield will pass .357" Jacketed, while .358" cast must be gently pushed through...

Over .358" is tight...

I have been shooting 158gr .358" cast with excellent results for years...

At least 1 of my H&R's and one of my S&W break tops have .362"+ cylinder throats. I have a pre model # J frame that I have never measured accurately, but dropping a .359" sized boolit through the cylinder tells me it's a bit larger than that ;)
