I have one of these lube/sizers from the 1950's. The newer versions of Lyman's sizers look stronger, beefier.

In recent times I've been using the Lee push through bullet sizers for most of my work, but recently came into a situation where I'd like to bring the Lyman 45 back into use.

Will the old 45 handle .35 caliber soft lead bullets that need to have .002-.003" taken off their bands?

Thanks.

Probably, but if the going gets tough, you might want to back off.

be sure to do a bit of pre-lube on the first couple so they slide into the H&I dies with less drag. One reason I went to 450 is I was always scared of breaking something on 45.
You could try it and if it doesn't work then upgrade.
