Pretty cool smooth sided profile with small flat, as all accurate molds have. Haven't shot it yet but my hope is to use it for 45acp and possibly colt as well. Not sure it will give good accuracy but I like the shape. Very nice mold. Feeds very well in my home made collator also which is huge. Some bullets had been ending up served upside down.

These were dropping about .452-.454

Looks like he will be using powder coating or Hi-Tek.

Nice. I like bevel-base too.

Yeah they drop great. I also like the bevel base for the progressive press helps the seating and reduces chances of a real crooked snag.

Just out of curiosity, what is the drop weight on those ? COWW?

Seems to be 233.6-234.4gr from my alloy, mystery but nearly 95-3-2 or so

Ok thank you for the reply. I like the way that boolit looks, enough that i may pursue this in the near future.

This bullet has me excited! This dummy round chambers up like butter so my hopes are high that it shoots well too. Already sold my Lyman mold.

I'm a little concerned about the defined ring the seater left on it. Might have to adjust the seater plug shape a little.

Drew i wouldn't be too concerned with that ring the seater left behind. Unless its a matter of being like me(perfectionist lol). It shouldnt affect the flight or the ballistic performance of the boolit. The base is the most critical part to pay attention to. I am sure you already know that, not meaning to seem like an expert by any means. I too like my stuff to look pleasing to the eye as well as perform well.

Yeah I'm not so concerned with it, but it's cutting the coating pretty sharply, so my only worry is it will shave some off, or chip it.

Are you seating and crimping in separate steps? If you do both at the same time it can make this ring worse that it would be otherwise. Also note you can use epoxy in the seating stem to form it to the nose of the boolit properly and you won't get the ring at all.

Separate crimp. It's from the seater die. It's a Dillon though so the plug is reversible and I haven't tried the other side yet.

Epoxy seater plug? BRILLIANT! I'm going to do that most likely. Thanks for the idea

So how did it shoot? I just ordered this same mold today, liked the way it looked and I will be coating them with Hitek.

Those look really good! Congrats. Accurate makes a great mold. I only have one, so far...

With PC, I think we will be seeing more and more groovless boolits.
