I got an RWS 34 in 177 three weeks ago and have been breaking it in. I now have about 500 pellets through it and as all of you suggested, the groups kept getting tighter. I figured it was time to post how things are going.
I have found 4 different pellets that it shoots well and a couple that it shoots acceptably for practice.
This gun seems to like the flat nose/ diablo pellets the best. The RWS hobby, RWS basic diablo, RWS meisterkuglen, and the Crosman supermatch all shoot the same.
Here is a picture of my last 5 shot group at 50 feet.

I have 2 different weights of the RWS R10 pellets coming. It will be interesting to see how they do.
Thanks to you all for your advice and suggestions. I appreciate it.

Hard to beat RWS.

The old Beeman from San Rafel were also good, but Mr. Beeman sold out to retire and there went the good ones.

Glad you like your purchase and Excellent shooting.

That's good shooting tazman. These guns are very addicting. I predict it won't be your last .

I got in the RWS R10 pellets today and just had to try them out. The weights for the pellets are 8.2 and 7.0 grains.
Both pellets shot equally tight groups. I was getting 5 shot groups that were cloverleafs and 10 shot groups that can be easily covered with a dime.
The only issue is the groups print in different spots about an inch apart at 50 feet. I can live with that since the groups are so tight. I suspect that is just how thing work with air rifles.

I've shot airguns on and off for 30 years.usually a gunshow find of club bought feinwerkbau 300 for indoor practice.then 5 years back I got hooked .now I'm happy as heck shooting 10 meters in the shop or at the 50 yard side yard range I just finished.I can't get motivated to go to the range much anymore or get out my rimfire rifles.

This is my new 50 yard night shooting backstop.

Sometimes I'm out there till nearly midnight.
