What a great verse! I've long fought my old Scots temper. I still do. But strengthened faith has allowed me to master it, at least often. I still have limits, but I'm doing much better than I once did. Keeping up the effort is trying sometimes, but God never said we'd have it EASY here on this side of the Great Veil, did he?

And in the degree of success I've had, I've found the peace mentioned here. It really takes a while (years and years sometimes) for us to really "get" the full meaning of many verses in the Bible. This is one I've wrestled with for many years. But in the end, it's those difficult lessons we learn the most from, and profit the most from personally.

Thanks for another great verse of the day, RL. I think you're just plain golden on this segment of the site.
