What a great verse! It seems some, today, want to think God is "unfair" just because He lets sorrows into our lives. He's not. Those sorrows are a result of sin entering the world, and perverting even our best efforts sometimes. He never promised to reward ONLY the just, but said it'd rain "on the just and unjust alike." He's not some sugar daddy in the sky who rewards and punishes according to what we do. That would turn us all into beggars and automatons! He WANTS us to be human, and have choices. He wants us to be challenged, because without challenge, we'd never likely grow. Some just haven't figured this out .... yet. Thanks, RL. Great verse, as usual.
