Here's a group I shot a week or so ago.168198
200 yards c. Sharps 50/90, BACO 600 grain PP .492 bullet, 1 Walters .060 wad and 100 grains of 2f goex.
I blame the stringing on the blade front sight.

How about how to build reduced loads (e.g., chicken killers) with a bore diameter PPB?

Or ... "Anybody ever paper patch a 45/70 bullet made from SPG lube, to shoot pigeons inside a barn?"

Would paper patching my shotgun shot give better patterning?

Lead dust if you can still get it wrapped like a 63 sharps load always worked good for me :)

I have used wax slugs cast from beeswax in a 5/16" reamed hole in 1/2" plate to kill starlings inside barn with a primer powered Mosin-Nagant..really waxes e'm!

Save your ammo, Montana. Get those pigeons frantically winging around in the barn on a moonless night and flick OFF the lights! When the thumping noise stops...hit the lights and walk around and scoop them up in your fishing net. A couple of good buddies and a few cold beers will make it a night to remember

Be careful about lead shot/dust if you run chickens or ducks in your barn area.

SHuck those breasts out and barbeque them or smoke them. Takes a bunch for a meal but are good eating. Some butter fry them shread them and a milk gravey over biscuts. Good eating if you can get enough for a meal. A decent shot load does wonders on them also. Go in after dark with a strong flashlight. Blinds them and they stay put

Back in the 50's a friend and I used to catch pigeons in barns with a flashlight and dip net on long cane poles and haul them to the Lincoln Park Gun Club on Lake Michigan and get $2. a dozen for them. :)

Back in the 60's we used to climb down and walk the catwalk at night on the Railroad bridge crossing the Mississippi River and catch them, then clip one wing and stake them out for live decoys. Our folks would drive out to farms that had pigeons and we would hunt all day. If it was a bad day you usually shot the decoys.

Can I Paper Patch a 50 Cal BMG ?

Isn't an Abrams Tank Armor Piercing Round just a glorified Paper Patched (Sabot) round ?
