Just ordered 1,000 primed for $20/1,000. Total was $38.98 with shipping. Cheaper than BPI. Just putting it out there.

I wish they would sell them unprimed so they could be shipped to Alaska[and Hawaii]! When primed they have to go private carrier by boat. with all the hasmat fees.

They don't charge hazmat fees when loaded in hulls. At least BPI don't.

the last time I dealt with fiocchi hulls they weren't the full 70mm they were more like 68mm and I had to fiddle with my wad selection to get everything to fit in them.
they also take the larger diameter primers, so the ones from win, cci or rem won't stay in them.

if you know this going in it will make loading and re-loading them a whole lot easier.
I didn't at the time.

There is no reason for that. Primed cases/hulls are not considered a hazmat item. Reasoning is less change of ignition when inserted into a case/hull.

Real easy to recondition the primer pockets for American primers.

I use these for slugs and buck which I roll crimp 99% of the time.

Riverrun is right as always, you will have to find Fiocchi primers when you want to use those hulls again, regular primers will fall out at the worst time, maybe tying up your gun in the middle of a duck shoot, or at a hot time in the Hood.

FYI, BPI has Fiocchi primers on sale now too.

This is all you need to solve the primer issue.

For my efforts I'll stick with once fired AA or STS hulls . Lot easier to get components etc etc

To each their own. I use all. I find each one have their applications and from my experience, taper hulls suck for buck and slug which is what I mainly reload.

Funny thing all my 12 gauge slug And buckshot loads have been in STS hulls . And they work very well or do dead deer not count ?

I use both straight and tapered hulls and have not noticed any significant difference. That is a good price for 1,000 primed hulls.

From BPI FAQ page
Q: Do you ship to Alaska & Hawaii?
A: Yes. We can ship any products that do not contain a hazardous material. You will not be able to order primed hull, ammunition, powder or primers. We ship to AK & HI via the United States Postal Service and all charges will depend upon the weight of the package.

Man, that's awful. I guess HI and AK has different shipping laws.

Yes! It is hard to use ground transportation to get to Hawaii, and Canada doesn't like the USA to transport hasmat material through them.

Man that is a good deal. But they are sold out now [smilie=b:

I have shot a few of the hundred I bought from BPI which was good about sending me load info for them. Also Alliant has data for them...

http://alliantpowder.com/reloaders/recipedetail.aspx?shotype=&weight=1.125&weightdis=1+1%2f8&shellid=496&gtypeid=3&gauge=12

The only problem I had was one "blooper"... Don't know if it was a bad primer or not but it left about 3/4 of the powder charge un-burnt and all in the chamber with the wad about 3/4 ways down the barrel. Wad came out easy, did not find the slug down range. Had to take it home and give it a real good washing!

More than happy with the service and kind of feel like I should have got more while I could have.

Hello fellows, as my post is worth 2 cents, listen to this italian guy advice. European hulls in clear plastic are not as strong as dark colored ones. Meaning that the 6 or 8 star crimp might unfold if the wad is a bit higher. We run them to a drill mounted spool to make a harder star crimp but sometimes they unfold as well. Again i suggest buying dark colored hulls.

Also they have a new deal up for 3" Primed fiocchi's $50 for 1000.

I used this from BPI. It works a lot better than the factory MEC starter crimps.

Hello, actually when you fire them, plastic gets harder with the heat generated. You will get as many reloads as with other fiocchi hulls.
