DougGuy turned a 9mm M&P FS into a tack hammer. Great job Doug. If I could type, I would be a secretary. On-the-other-hand, a rack hammer is what you use on deer. Or if it were a rock hammer, you could use it to break up rocks.

He offers a throating service. He throats the barrel to where a 9mm will accept relatively long-seated 358s and a .45 will accept .452s.

He's done two 1911s and a M&P 9mm for me. I'm totally pleased with all three of them. He also recrowned the M&P. Clean as a whistle.

I think I know what a rack hammer is. I was shooting the plate racks this weekend and my rack hammer needed two racks of plates to deplete the magazine. 16 round magazine and 6 plates to a rack. Yeah, I miss some so that is why the big mag. The guy next to me asked me which plate rack I was shooting and I said both.

Sounds great. Does he do general gunsmithing?

Not really, I mostly work on cylinder and barrel throating, forcing cones, etc. I pretty much specialize in boolit fitment issues and have been known to do the occasional Ruger SA trigger job. There is enough people that need cylinders and barrels done to keep me fairly busy.
