I have the new C Sharps high wall pretty much ready to take to the first match next wenday (5-18) I have solid zeros for 100yds and 200yds from the local club. My load is with the 365grn Old West Nasa bullet at 1150fps ( load only has 13 fps extree spread). I need some "come ups" for 300yds-500yds. How many mins do I need to raise sights for each range? I know this will only be close but its better than a guess in the dark. Thanks for the information.

For ranges in meters not yards

from 200m to pigs 300m up 13
from 300m pigs to 385m turkeys up 15
from 385m turkeys to 500m rams up 20

for yards adjust 10%

It will get you on the berms

Didnt make it to the match today. Had a funneral come up I had to attend. Thank-you for the info Chill Willis I have it in my book for future use. The new rifle is still unproven in the heat of battle.

Just out of curiosity, what is the twist of your .38-55 and have you shot it on paper to see if they're tipping? I have a 12" that stabilizes the 335 gr. Lyman. Was wondering if I could go higher.

Upnorthwis , I have a 38-55 with a 13.25 twist and it stabilizes 360 grain money at the ram line and a 38-56 with a 12 twist that does also.

Mine is 1-12 twist and it does the 365 grn Nasa nullet from the Old West mould I have. Buddy has a 1-14 and it does best with the 312 rcbs bullet. Mine does good with the 335 lyman also.

UpNorthWis, Im hoping to cast some up Sunday, with a couple friends. One from on here and another very good friend. I could send you some as cast if you want to try them in your rifle. If things go right Ill be happy to box some up for you to test. Send me a PM with your address.
