How difficult to change a Mossberg Patriot barrel?

I am assuming the Mossberg barrel mounts like a Savage but the Mossberg barrel nut has no indents for a tool to be used. I would like to re-barrel a 243 to 7-08. Thanks

The Patriot's streamlined barrel nut is made to be loosened/tightened by a hook spanner (tool), and so lacks the tooling indents.

It would take 15-20 minutes to change the old barrel out, and install a new one and headspace, just like a Savage. Only question is, what is the barrel threads? Does anyone make aftermarket barrels for them?
