Sunny with haze from the Canadian forest fires. Subdued sunlight without strong shadows makes for my best shooting.
The ladder sight is set for 650 yards and drops the boolits right into the Ten Ring at 200 yards.

There is a gong at 200 Yards as well. Able to get four out of five hits twice.

That's my favorite design for the 1903 Springfield, although I usually use the 311299 version of it. It's a hoot to ring the gong at 200 yards and further off hand with the old 1903 War Horses.

My off hand is about 1:10. With an 03-A3, sights further back, it's about 3:10.
The sights about 8-9" in front is getting harder for me every year. An aperature device, made from a black plastic spoon
shows promise. Aging eyes is the berries.
