Hi,
I've used this mold in my home built Spikes Tactical/Daniel Defense AR-15!

It works great and is good for CQB drills "on the cheap"!

I have a friend looking at it and said he found some people sayin it would not work in their rifle????

He has a Colt and I'm trying to find info on this boolit and the Colt rifle????

Does it work in a Colt????

What is the problem people are finding???

Thanks!

I don't see why it wouldn't work in a Colt but there is a way to find out :bigsmyl2: try it....I may see if I can borrow one to see if my rounds I load work in it but may be awhile.

Hi,
Thanks!

Maybe someone will come along that has used this boolit in a Colt AR-15!

I know it is a popular mold and it runs flawless in my DD "middy" barrel!

It will work in a Colt regardless if it is chambered for .223 or 5.56.

Yep I would think it would work and I am not able to borrow the Colt for a lead bullet test. Some folks just don't think lead belongs in an AR :groner:

Hi,
Thanks DKF and George!

I don't see any problems either, Colt and Daniel Defense both make a quality barrel!

They run fine in colts, a close friend that is not a member here has shoot them is three of his colt rifles, I have supplied him with 3k of the boolitz from my version of your mold.

Hi,
Thanks Ken!

Fantastic!

Does anyone know of ANY problem with this boolit and the AR-15?????

Only concern I would have is the fast twist 1:7 my Colt Hbar has. I have never shot cast in my .223/.556 ARs.

it was made for the AR rifles.
hence the NATO designation.

The bullet will handle the 1-7" twist as long as you don't try to match jacketed velocities. I have a MiHec 69gr bullet mold that is beautiful in my AR15 with a 20" 1-7" barrel.

Hi,
Yes my DD is a 1:7 and it runs great, with just enough 4895 to make it function!
