Powder marked PBSS

[RU shooter]

A gentleman on another forum had a question about a 12 lb keg of powder he came into that was marked DuPont PB SS Said it liked identical to regular PB but was asking about the "SS" meaning or identification of it . Anyone have any info on it ?

pb is a flake powder designed for shot shell use.
Federal used to use it in the non-canister form.
when it became available on the open market it was used for shot-shells exclusively [same as international clays]
pistol loads were later developed for it down the road some.
