Is the one listed at Havlin's the best one?

Others?

If you want to use a modern 1" scope, I do believe the Havlin mount is the only choice and it is a quality mount.

The Havlin's mount works great for mounting modern scopes.

Well Havlin's provided the best of service when I ordered and I should have it tomorrow or Saturday.
One good thing about this project, I have found that I was missing a part on my Mossberg S100 sight.

I have never seen one of the 44s with Mossberg sight with a sight aperture disk installed.

All this time I just figured that was a cheap sight with pretty large hole almost like a ghost ring.

Wow with the Lyman 17 front sight I put on years ago and this new aperture, things will be better.

And I will have the scope option for testing ammunition(more about this in a separate post).

All that good news and I find out that a set of those sling swivels are 43 bucks . . . . gotta go digging thru parts and find those suckers.

I have learned more about this rifle in the last week (44 US (a)) than in all of the years (since the 80s) I have owned it.

Yes if one just searches the interweb can provide.
