I borrowed a 39A to shoot a match with and it had a lace on leather cheekpiece to raise the comb about an inch. I can't seem to find one anywhere. Anybody know where to look for one. I can't get as good of a cheek weld as I would like. I have to raise my head.

Thanks,

Crabo

The trouble with that cheek piece is it was designed to raise your cheek up and to the left to align your eye with an off set scope because the grand ejected the clip straight up after the last shot, Plus you had to have it clear to load another eight round clip. I have seen what you want at Cabalas.

Cabela's cheekpieces come in three rises: 1/4", 1/2" and 3/4". They have more of a Monte Carlo vertical effect than an offset cheekpiece effect. I have them on several of my guns and they make all the difference. They don't necessarily fit on my stocks as neatly as they do on the ones illustrated in the catalog, but they do OK.

Catalog Number XX-22-071 with -025, -050 and -075 suffix depending on height.

Try this one. They come in stick on and strap on.

I found a nice one on Auction Arms last year for short money, looked like there were plenty to be had.

If you took this pad and covered it with a soft leather and had a lace on the bottom, that is what it would look like.

I would like to see what this one looks like on a gun.

I am not into the whole cowboy sass look. I want something that looks nice, but is not like this. This guy does some really nice work, but it is not my style.

I believe the picture on the Brownells site is of the "stick-on" version. They do list the "strap on" version with no picture.

I found it. I finally got a hold of my friend whose gun I borrowed.

That one should work and stay in place.
