I found a couple boolits like this after powder coating. What do you all think? Sorry but it was chrome pc so it does not show very well. Based on the crack I do not think it was prior to powder coating or pc would have filled the damaged space.

These were espc.

Too hot in the oven? bad alloy (range scrap with some tin added), other ideas?

I broke off that damaged bit then did a smash test. Could not get the camera to focus on it (too reflective I think) but it certainly passed the smash test.

Not PC I have a mold that does that if I get to fast, slow down and it will stop. I wondered the same thing but got to looking and they were cracked before PC ing .

Not PC. Yes, it really looks like a mold opened too soon. ESPC will not fill in big gaps like that and they show up after bake.

Only a couple of them? Don't worry about it. Just slow down you casting speed.

Thanks everyone. I did run pretty quick last time I cast. Glad to know what caused it and the solution is nice and easy. -Ry
