.20 bore for .177 pellets and such. Should be some good smallbore fun

Ps not my cat, original owner, mine would require Valium to sit that still

.177 might be a bit small. Try 5mm Sheridan ammo.

And I thought those Rayl .22s were small! For sure more powder in the pan than in the barrel. Looks like a fun thing to play with.

.20 bore. Instead of going with .177 w patch I went with .22 pellet in this style. The steel BB aids in penetration. Not sure of weight.

I shot everything at 25yrds. I used 10g 4f. I did not shoot for accuracy today but I had no issue hitting the 2x4 at 25, first shot.http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j5/plastikosmd/jr%20slavo%20flint/20160423_142540_zpsks7muxmf.jpg
Easily but snugly thumb seats. No patch needed. The skirt catches the minimal fouling from the last shot, scraping its way down and providing a flame buffer.http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j5/plastikosmd/jr%20slavo%20flint/20160423_142835_zpsrmximlv6.jpg
Entrance, 3/4 pressure treated ply

Distance through the pressure treated 2x4. Almost through

Even damage to my steel knockdown. Plenty of energy

watch out that bb doesn't bounce back.

10gr. seems like a lot of powder, since 22LR only uses about 4 gr. Now you get to work up the accuracy load and find the sweet spot!

Any idea who made that barrel?

Good to know, will decide on load once I have some time. Was supersonic at 10 gr
No idea who made it. I was told salvo made everything on the rifle. I'm not sure ...

Yes but a 22 is smokeless powder. I use 20gr in my 32's and some people go a little higher. Doesn't hurt to try some lighter loads though.

Looks like a lot of backyard fun. I shoot my Buffalo Classic 45-70 with 5 grains of Unique and a .457 round ball alox tumbled and crimped in case. MOA tin can accurate to 40 yds. Blasts right on thru both sides and sounds like a cap gun. Always check exit of ball thru barrel. Had 1 out of many stick so far.

Thank u ^ That is why I started at 10 in this new gun. Clearly, now, I see there is plenty of downrange energy to cut back.

I meant when you load them with black powder. Don't know how much smokeless they use, never tried that. (Pull bullets, load w/black, use cast Hornet bullet)
I use around 25gr. in my 32 as well, a 38 spl. case makes a good powder measure.

However much he uses it's still an intriguing rifle!

Will drop it a bit. Probably no less than 5g. Trying to pull a pellet would be a nightmare!

Now that is one fine looking little flintlock that is going to be loads of fun! Cheap to shoot and you don't even have to cast for it! Thanks for sharing!
