Just picked up ruger flat top in 41 mag.
Short barrel. Always wanted a 41.
And like the flat top Frame.
Will post more when I get time to do some loading and shooting.

Mine always smacked my knuckle and I favored lighter loads out of it. otherwise a fine firearm.

I have had a Smith 57 for a number of years. Got a 240 grain LBT wide flat nose mould for it and find it most pleasing to use and effective. The loads used are under max for hunting but even a moderate load of Unique giving 900 fps with that heavy bullet is a deadly piece of work and easy shooting. Enjoy your new six gun.

Had one of these...there was only 119 of the 4 5/8" and 181 of the 6.5" .41 Flat Tops made... Excellent shooting gun but the XR3 gripframe is too small for my hand so rather than mess with custom grips or having the gripframe replaced with a Super Blackhawk I sold it...

Congrats i think you will like your new pistol I know i like my B/H 4 5/8 41 magnum in fact i was just thinking about ordering a new Bowen rear sight for it
