Purchased some el-cheapo stripper clips to feed a Mauser rifle. Seemed like a good idea at the time.
Waste of money. They are so poorly made they don't fit the clip guide in the receiver (too small).

So I'm going to start that process over. Does anyone know of a good source for Mauser 98 action stripper clips?

Sounds like you got the ones that fit the Yugo Mausers. I have a small number that are too big for my Yugo! I think they are for the 98. Seems to be a common problem.

Only ones I have are the flimsy ones that come with the turkish surplus.

Petrol,

I suggest you Google Sarco, Numrich Arms or Springfield Sporters for 8mm chargers. A few years ago I got several bandoleers of Turkish Ball that was on stripper clips. They are heavy brass and I would not call them "flimsy." My M48 Mausers take the same charger clips as my 98ks.

I had a problem with my FR8 and stripper clips. I had to size fit everyone of them. It seems to me the blued steel ones worked the best. My Captured K98 will eat any stripper clip.

The brass turkish ones seem to work fine once maybe 2x. But after that they loosen up or whatever you want to call it. I have to go thru the Turkish stuff to find the ones w cracked necks, cant imagine the stripper clip brass is any better than the brittle brass used in the ammo.
