My RCBS.44 Keith bullet casts at 265 gr. I have a Ruger ft and a mod. 21 Smith that I would like to shoot this bullet out of. I have AA#5, HP 38 and 2400 and would like to get 900fps staying somewhere around 20,000 cup. I know about the VV loads. Thanks.

In my Ruger I use the same 14.7 grain charge of Alliant #2400 with Saeco #430 that I do in .357 Mag. with Saeco #358. Works well and burns clean.

15.0 grains of 2400 or 5.5 grains of HP 38 should get you where you want to be. I will say that my Ruger Flat Top prefers Red Dot or Unique, 5.6 grains of the former, 7.5 grains of the latter.

My Lyman Keith mold cast at 250 grains maybe you are using a different lead mix to come at 265 grains. And 2400 is a good powder to use in 44 special and 44 mag loads.

Not on your powder list but the best all around .44 special load I have found is your boolit over 8.0 of power pistol.
