I have had a dozen done by by Cliff LaBounty and Norm Johnson but they are not available. Ran across an outfit called Oregunsmithing in Pendelton, OR that can do work. Anyone had experience with them ? Thanks.

Wayne York(Oregon Gunsmithing) rebored and rechambered a Marlin 336C to 375 Winchester for me a couple of years ago. Beautiful job, reasonable price and it's accurate as all get out.

.

There no complaints about Jess Ompaugh's (Oregon) work: www.35caliber.com

His prices/options are on that website ($245 for a rebore), and (although you haven't specified exactly what work you want done - like, from what caliber to what caliber), he has several different bores, he's tooled up for.

JES boring is in Oregon. I have a 38-55 bored from a 30-30. I think you will find many people here have used JES and everyone has been happy with the result.

Well I got back my Ruger No. 1 35 Whelen ex 30-06 from Wayne.

Not really too pleased. He blames Ruger barrel steel. Far rougher than my 1942 rearsenaled Mosin Nagant. Looks like the ultimate "micro-groove" barrel !
