How much media?

I was given a Dillon tumbler, the larger one. How much media (walnut) should I use?

Add your brass, turn on the cleaner, then add media till the cases circulate in the bowl. Too much or too little media, and the cases just sit there.

I believe Dillon suggests 9 pounds of media for the big tumbler.

with most of the vibrators, filling the bowl half way or a little more is pretty close to good.

I've got three vibratory tumblers and I fill them 3/4 full of media, normally ground corn cob from zoro.com. That seems to work best for me at that level.

Same as Fred fill the bowl 3/4 full of your favorite media and go to town.

As in most things, it depends. More for long (rifle) brass, less for short brass.
