ruger mkII and MKIII mag

I have a ruger mag and don't know what its for. I know the 2 didn't have mag release and the 3 did. Most with a mag release have a cut in the mag for the release. this one don't, this has a button on side for loading. don't know if that was on all or not
any help?

Sounds like a mkii if it doesn't have that cutout on the top front portion of the magazine.

If the button is on the left side of the magazine it's a Mk II if the button is on the right side it's a Mk I the Mk III does have a notch in the magazine body.
