For more then a few years as I meet members here the idea comes up and is liked. So with time marching on I decided to just set a date and run with it.
On May 21 I plan to be at Bob Eavns Restaurant on the corner of I96 & M43 at 8:00 am for breakfast. Any and all are welcome to join me. At about 9:30 will move the party to my Clubs Range at Chief Okemos Sportmans Club in Dimomdale and plan to stay till 4:00. So come when you can and stay as long as you want!
We will have a 25yds,50yds,100yds,200yds and the plate rack! The club will be open to members and we will just work and play around them.
Please bring chairs, drinks, and cool stuff to shoot! I will have a pop up tent and the firing line is covered. Will post if you need boots as the range is low and wet at time. (We are working on the drainage)
Lunch will be pizza or bring your own. We will pass the hat to pay for it.

Simple, easy directions and sounds like a lot of fun.
I may not be able to make it. My brother-in-law invited me to a gathering at camp Grayling. It is a weekend event of 82 Airborne alumni. I was honored that he invited me and they do plan on having some range time..... Just doubt Grayling has a 25 yrd range for my snubby

I was looking forward to getting some time in front of the plate rack and you guys are fun in a bar I figure at a range you all would be a hoot.

Glad you got it set up! Most of my guns are down in El Paso unfortunately. I do have two AR's that I need to break in. The .223/556 has 20 rounds through it, and the 300blk only has about 6 as it was getting dark. Other than that I have my Marlin 45 colt cowboy lever action. Hope to make it for sure. How far is it from Mason? Can I still get in if I don't make breakfast? Only if I bring donuts right.

Oh no for 1000 yrds I always use the 6 inch barrel in 357. Find with a 38 in the snub nose I have to snap my wrist as I pull the trigger to give a little extra push to get the 38 down range 1000 yards. My BIL told me there is a 25 meter range. That is still a touch longish for the snub nose with me behind it. I'll just have to use a bigger target ;-)

I will meet you at the restaurant.

I will be bringing a Trapdoor 45-70, a Mannlicher in 270, a Remington 700 in 22-250, and maybe a Marlin lever in 35 or 444. The Remington and Marlins are the first time out with lead, and the Mannlicher is new to me. I will also bring a couple of handguns.

I look like this, but less formal.

Had a great time yesterday. I got the chance to exercise some of my toys that haven't been out of the safe in years. The date on some of my reloaded 38spl. boxes was 1995! Now I have some empty brass to reload.

Clint and I also had the opportunity to introduce some new shooters to some guns that they wouldn't normally see and help put them on the right path with their shooting. It is amazing watching the improvement in a beginning shooter with jut 10min. of instruction.

I'm looking forward to the next Michigan get together.
