Took my winchester 1894 out today since the rain had cleared for a bit. Shot 3 types of ammo- 150 grain Federal, 170 gr. Federal & 170 grain remington core-lokt. It liked the federal 150 grain the best. shot on paper at 25 first then 50 yards to get an idea of where it was hitting and ended up pretty impressed. Just rested the gun on a bag and lined up the sights.

Ojai Valley 25 yard target is far right, 50 yard target is the middle one.

Top group is 170 Gr. Federal with silver dollar for size and the bottom group is 150 grain federal 3 shots. at 50 yards each.

thanks for looking. Plan to put a rear peep sight on the gun later since it seems to shoot well

Nice enough! Those commemoratives always look nice and almost always shoot quite well also.

Nice looking Model 94. Great condition and a nice after market checkering job. It's always hard to tell with photos, but the finish and the wood seems to indicate that it is a Pre-64 Model 94.

A peep sight will be a great addition to it. With it you'll be shooting out to 200 yards without a hitch.

Oh, nice S&W Model 64 or 65 too. Great revolvers.

It is a pre model 64 circa 1956 I believe. And thank you, I love that S&W it is a model 64-3. I purchased it from a holster maker for a very good price, he hadn't shot it and it has become the most accurate revolver i have.
