When you think of the investment our Lord has in us by sacrificing his son to offer us salvation in the form of eternal life it goes beyond out imagination to envision that kind of love .

John 8:58-59 Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth, before Abraham was even born, I am!” At that point they picked up stones to throw at him. But Jesus was hidden from them and left the Temple.

He confessed who he was all along , the ignorance of men couldn't grasp it . Thomas even said he didn't and wouldn't until he stuck his finger in the nail holes of his hands . Jesus held them out to him after the resurrection .

No sir they couldn't grasp it. It didn't fit what they wanted. They wanted someone to destroy their enemy's not love them.

Yep . And Moses didn't want to do it , claimed GOD could find someone who could do better , talk better . If GOD chooses you then you probably don't have much to worry about. King of Egypt after several plagues , losing his first born son the he let the the Jews leave . Changed his mind and wanted em back, GOD parts the Red Sea and kills his army . This guy didn't understand GOD at all .

Agreed . Just beyond their conception and certainly not what they wanted to hear . Pharisees most likely didn't believe in GOD anyway , only used his name to gain power and wealth , control the people .

That's interesting I never thought that they didn't believe in God. But like you said they only cared about what was in it for them
