Hollywood press sold for $400 on ebay.
I thought it would have gone for more.
I was watching it, but have no need for another press.
Shipping was listed as $45, but I think it would have been much more to me.

It should have gone for $600, even though it is aluminum. And $45 is way too cheap for shipping anywhere.

That particular press was misrepresented as to the condition and usage. The seller started out at $850 a few months ago and held firm until a few weeks ago when it dropped to either $650 or $600. He finally brought the price down to the right amount for a fair auction to begin.

The press was also on other sites as well. Fortunately folks saw through the misrepresentation and were suspect and thus did not bid.

I am not in any way saying that the misrepresentation was intentional.

I would have paid $400 for that press in a heartbeat, I have never seen one in the flesh. I would be surprised if there is even one in New England.
