View Full Version : DW 360 in Levergun?

Didn't some here say they rechambered their 357 levergun to 360 DW? If so, how did you get it to feed the longer cartridges?

I spent an hour triming .070 off 20 cases tonight. I don't see a future in that.

I did crabo.

Mine was a Winchester lever gun.

the feed rails need to be modified a tad.

Here is a pic of the feed rails for a win 94. One is standard and one is modified.

these pics were from Tycer Lewis on his Win 94. It is exactly the same thing I did, (actually he helped me with it) to modify my 357 mag to feed 360 DW brass.
the top two bars are for the same side, the top one is unmodified and the one below it is. Notice the ever so slight MISSING point on the triangle on the second one. It was filed down a little to allow the back of the case to "rise" up sooner to feed into the chamber. The third and fourth bar are modified the same way.

it would be alot eaiser to do on a 94 win then a 94 marlin.
