I was loading up some 357 magnum today and had a couple boolits a member shared with me a while ago. They had a nice, wide hollow point but a 90 degree flat base. (No GC) They were 156gr with the lube and HP. Then I had some bevel base 158gr's I had purchased from before I started casting (a couple years ago) I loaded along side. The 158's had a nice, 45 degree or so bevel which makes seating the boolits a breeze with no shaving or need to flare the cases. But no HP.

Got me to thinking... what if these two boolits were combined with the nose of one and the base of the other?

Does the boolit exist with a bevel base, and hollow point, in .358 caliber? Not common to see bevel based boolits now that I think of it.....

Rocked my world... except that's 145 grains instead of 156-158. :D

it probably started out as a 158 and the commercial guy called his 158 too.
anyway look at magma engineering for the bevel based mold you seek, then a quick trip to Erick for a pin.
and some handles puts you in business.
I figure about $250.00 should cover everything.

So the moral of the story is, with enough money anything "exists."
