I have looked for information on this Lyman book. I found photos but no version. There are no dates or later edition information that I can find in it. I found my 3rd edition today, but this predates it, I think.

Any information will be much appreciated. I did a search on this forum, google and ebay, found nothing that would help.

Have a blessed day,

Leon

Having used and owned all 4 of the Lymans; I'm convinced that #1 is the best. But then I don't shoot much of the newer guns.

Good questions. I was wondering the same thing. Glad they label #3 and #4.

I've used the #2 for years, still do, and #3, and now use #49 for the 40 S&W loads. I had my #3 stored with some other books in the closet until just the other day, when I dug through the boxes and found it, along with a bunch of other old shooting related books.

Have a blessed day,

GONRA's "Handbook of Cast Bullets" looks Just Like bdicki's.
Can tell its been used a LOT! Mine sure was/is.
Can't order get these $4.50 moulds anymore.....

Back in the late 1950's thru 1960's ("Good Olde Days")
used this book asa reference to purchase all sorts of cast boolit stuff
for shootin' collector auto pistols:
Specials ("S" stamped after mould number)
Undersized ("U" stamped in front of mould number").

Couple times, turned over Lyman blocks, centered pair in a
4 jaw chuck, to cut a cast boolit cavities in my lathe
for .44 Auto Mag and 7mm Nambu cores for swaging FMJ bullets in my CH Swage-O-Matic.
(Verked great, but chickened out - feared straining the Swag-O-Matic.)
So, some moulds do 2 boolits - top and bottom.
