LOT (7180 LBS) APPROX WASTE LEAD WITHOUT FOREIGN ATTACHMENTS, LEAD IS IN (13) STEEL 55 GAL DRUMS, WEIGHT OF DRUMS AND PALLETS INCLUDED IN TOTAL WEIGHT, ALL SCRAP UNDER THIS CONTRACT REQUIRES MUTILATION BY THE BUYER PRIOR TO REMOVAL IF ALLOWED BY THE BASE OR MUTILATION MUST BE WITNESSED AND CERTIFIED BY DOD SURPLUS PERSONNEL AT ANOTHER FACILITY. TITLE TO THE MATERIAL DOES NOT PASS TO THE BUYER UNTIL THE SCRAP HAS BEEN MUTILATED. BUYER AGREES TO ALLOW USG PERSONNEL TO WITNESS DESTRUCTION.

Probably needs to be somebody in the state of Maryland. Tennessee is a little far to retrieve and mutalate this lot.

I think you'd actually want to shred them first. I've melted jacketed bullets and some don't empty out to well.

So what kind of scrap is it that needs to be mutilated? J-words?

I'm not that far from Fort Meade. The mutilation part is just you you don't get anything useful and is standard for most .mil auctions. I'd say these are premutilated to a sufficient degree, but if I win I'll bring a big hammer with me (just incase the staff there wants to hold me to the letter).
