John 8 : 7-11

7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
8 And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.
9 And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?
11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

Lazarus Brought to Life

38
¶ Jesus therefore again groaning in himself cometh to the grave. It was a cave, and a stone lay upon it.

39
Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days.

40
Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?

41
Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.

42
And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.

43
And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.

44
And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes; and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.

There's an awful lot of Godliness here. It's really heartwarming just to see it all here. Thanks. We all need that, lest we fall into cynicism. And I just HATE cynicism! It's the most dysfunctional thing I know of! So thanks. It matters.

From Luke 24, timely because it is Easter week. "And they recognized Jesus in the breaking of the bread."

13 Now that same day two of them were going to a village called Emmaus, about seven miles[a (https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Luke+24&version=NIV#fen-NIV-26005a)] from Jerusalem. 14 They were talking with each other about everything that had happened. 15 As they talked and discussed these things with each other, Jesus himself came up and walked along with them; 16 but they were kept from recognizing him.
17 He asked them, “What are you discussing together as you walk along?”
They stood still, their faces downcast. 18 One of them, named Cleopas, asked him, “Are you the only one visiting Jerusalem who does not know the things that have happened there in these days?”
19 “What things?” he asked.
“About Jesus of Nazareth,” they replied. “He was a prophet, powerful in word and deed before God and all the people. 20 The chief priests and our rulers handed him over to be sentenced to death, and they crucified him; 21 but we had hoped that he was the one who was going to redeem Israel. And what is more, it is the third day since all this took place. 22 In addition, some of our women amazed us. They went to the tomb early this morning 23 but didn’t find his body. They came and told us that they had seen a vision of angels, who said he was alive. 24 Then some of our companions went to the tomb and found it just as the women had said, but they did not see Jesus.”
25 He said to them, “How foolish you are, and how slow to believe all that the prophets have spoken! 26 Did not the Messiah have to suffer these things and then enter his glory?” 27 And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself.
28 As they approached the village to which they were going, Jesus continued on as if he were going farther. 29 But they urged him strongly, “Stay with us, for it is nearly evening; the day is almost over.” So he went in to stay with them.
30 When he was at the table with them, he took bread, gave thanks, broke it and began to give it to them. 31 Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him, and he disappeared from their sight. 32 They asked each other, “Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?”
33 They got up and returned at once to Jerusalem. There they found the Eleven and those with them, assembled together 34 and saying, “It is true! The Lord has risen and has appeared to Simon.” 35 Then the two told what had happened on the way, and how Jesus was recognized by them in the breaking of the bread.

Psalm 23King James Version (KJV) 23 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.
7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.
8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.
9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.
10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.
11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
13 And the evening and the morning were the third day.
14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.
16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.
19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.
20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.
21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
22 And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.
23 And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.
24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.
25 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.
31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

A double lesson in a parable told by our Lord .

Matthew 20;1-16

The Parable of the Vineyard Workers
1 (http://biblehub.com/matthew/20-1.htm)For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard. 2 (http://biblehub.com/matthew/20-2.htm)And when he had agreed with the labourers for a penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard. 3 (http://biblehub.com/matthew/20-3.htm)And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the marketplace, 4 (http://biblehub.com/matthew/20-4.htm)And said unto them; Go ye also into the vineyard, and whatsoever is right I will give you. And they went their way. 5 (http://biblehub.com/matthew/20-5.htm)Again he went out about the sixth and ninth hour, and did likewise. 6 (http://biblehub.com/matthew/20-6.htm)And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle? 7 (http://biblehub.com/matthew/20-7.htm)They say unto him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, that shall ye receive.
8 (http://biblehub.com/matthew/20-8.htm)So when even was come, the lord of the vineyard saith unto his steward, Call the labourers, and give them their hire, beginning from the last unto the first. 9 (http://biblehub.com/matthew/20-9.htm)And when they came that were hired about the eleventh hour, they received every man a penny. 10 (http://biblehub.com/matthew/20-10.htm)But when the first came, they supposed that they should have received more; and they likewise received every man a penny. 11 (http://biblehub.com/matthew/20-11.htm)And when they had received it, they murmured against the goodman of the house, 12 (http://biblehub.com/matthew/20-12.htm)Saying, These last have wrought but one hour, and thou hast made them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day. 13 (http://biblehub.com/matthew/20-13.htm)But he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst not thou agree with me for a penny? 14 (http://biblehub.com/matthew/20-14.htm)Take that thine is, and go thy way: I will give unto this last, even as unto thee. 15 (http://biblehub.com/matthew/20-15.htm)Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good? 16 (http://biblehub.com/matthew/20-16.htm)So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.

Thanks, guys, and you know, it's always amazing to me how each time I hear these and like verses, they seem to mean more with each hearing than before. Maybe they just penetrate a little deeper? I'm really not sure what it is, but I can't miss it. There's so very, very much goodness, wisdom and advice in that Book, and the more we read, hear and think about it, the more it seems to say and mean. It's one of those paradoxes that the more you use it, the bigger it gets. Is God not full of sources of awe and wonder or what?
