Prayers requested for my mother

My step-father died unexpectedly today (likely a heart attack) and I would like to ask for prayers for my mom and for his children. He and my mom married later in life and as such I was not particularly close with him but he was always friendly and kind-hearted toward our family and he treated my mom very well.

I want to ask for your prayers that my mother has peace in her heart in the coming weeks and that she would be brought closer to Christ through this and that she is not worried or fearful for the future.

Didn't know or expect that Don. Your Mom has been thru alot in the past year or so. Good she has a strong support family!

Thank you for all of the prayers. God has surely answered them as my mom has been handling this much better than we imagined she would and we have been able to keep her laughing and remembering good times for a good part of every day. The funeral is tomorrow so I would ask for your continued prayers that the day and service go well and she is able to keep a good spirit in the coming weeks.

Our prayers for her financial well-being were also answered as a life insurance policy was located and was still valid(we were not sure if there was one or if it was still active) and we also discovered that he had paid into a form of annuity that combined with her retirement will at least cover her basic needs for the rest of her life.

I'm glad to hear she has enough financial support . These days many are doing without because of inflation and rising costs . We will continue to pray .
