I already have a 'starter' mold for .45 ACP (Lee 452-230-TC), and after lots of reading decided on a Lyman 4 Cavity 452460, which I ordered today.

I was going to wait until I had some extra $$$ but someone at work told me today to sign up for a health awareness program at work and I'd get $100 gift card from Amazon. Signed up today, got the electronic gift card today, ordered the mold today. Today was a good day :-).

I order molds almost every week. I don't read, I just order! And cast a lot of boolits.

Welcome to the "Big Black Hole" for you money!

Another mould junkie . Welcome to the addiction !
You never forget your first , it will always be fondly remembered !

Mine was a single cavity Lyman 358156 , 1967 , I still have her and the Ruger Blackhawk .

My first mold was a 148 gr Lee TL wadcutter. Was advised here to use 2.7 gr Bullseye, and have used that ever since - accuracy is great in my SW 642 snubby.

Oh yeah, also have two or three molds for the .44 SBH :-)

I dont remember my first mold but if I had to venture a guess it was a Lyman 410459 or something for my 41 Mag.

I now have a sea of molds and am adding to them monthly. Right now I have a MP 480 ruger mold I just picked up on the S&S. Can't wait to get it. When youre a part of Al Nelsons mold club, you know you're just starting to buying enough.........

My first mold was a Lee 457-220 R for my cap and ball revolver. That was a long time ago and there have been many since.

I have lots of Lee molds, several Lyman and at least one RCBS. However I've recently bought two molds from NOE and one from Accurate. The quality of these molds has to be experienced to be believed. Pricy, yes but I'm a believer!

I bought my first a month ago, a Lee 6 cav 9mm, 356-124. I've already cast and powdercoated more than 1,800 boolits, and I've loaded about 1,300 of them. I'm hooked.

I have an old Lyman 4 cav 452460. I one of the best molds I own, casts at 4535, nice fill out, close pour open and all 4 bullets fall out. No shaking or fooling around. Really shoots in all the 1911's in the family. I run them thru the Star by the thousands.

Mine was/is a 2 cavity Lyman 429421. I bought it in 1974 and it still cast a booful boolit. The last time I shot any of them was from my S'per Redhawk and 3 of them went into 1" @ 100 yds(scope of course). Any serious boolit caster cannot do without this mould for his 44(s). BTW, these boolits take down whitetails like they were lightning struck!

452460 was one of the first moulds I ever bought. Been using it for about forty three years now and if anything ever happened to it I would buy a new one the next day.

The Lee 158 TL SWC was the one that moved me from buying cast to making cast. With the nice weather and the sample pack of PC from smoke I am thinking that mold should get a work out so I can make some pink, purple and powder blue bullets for wife. Everything I have cast is already tumble lubed with a lot of it in brass. One of these days I should buy the 6 cavity version but hey 2 cavity works.
