An easter story !

My church was having an egg hunt , cook out today free to the public ...............but we didn't go . Went to a familys Easter reunion in a small town about 20 miles east of us . I'm not any kind of blood kin to them but adopted them about 25 years ago, they in turn adopted me and later Becky . They call me uncle Boaz , all the young one's consider Becky a cousin .
This was one of the most dysfunctional familys I ever saw . One was having affairs on the side , one drank and tried to commit suicide , one is autistic , two are atheists , 3 are from India but Christians , one has Alzheimers . Two are Iraq/Afghanistan vets , two RN's , college professor , corporate manager , justice of the peace . I truly consider them family .
They fought , hated , and did awful things to each other , sibling hatred , just non stop trouble . They maintained contact with me .

This was the first time in probably 15 years they all gathered , some driving a good way .

Becky got to be the pit master .

It was a perfect day , everyone was glad to be there , they worked together , it was fun .
I have prayed for them a long time and the reward of seeing them today was amazing . There is hope .

Sometimes, Boaz, it's the whole family that has to be saved for any of them to make it. Ya' done good, bro'! REAL good. And good to see Becky's keepin' them young lads straight, too!

Guys I didn't cure this family . GOD did . I only provided someone they could all talk through and put out a few fires . They have taken control now of that now. Good deal !
