That's not a very "popular" verse, but I think you have to get older to really appreciate it. Now that I find myself just appreciative to just BE here to feel the pain, I have a very different outlook, and perception of the pain. We can learn concepts from others, but nothing really teaches us as fully as experience. Experience alone seems to be the only real source of true understanding in many things. Lots of folks didn't make it as far as I have in this life. How can we not be appreciative of that? And if the price for that is some pain, how lucky we truly are to be alive to feel it!
