Trapdoor questions...

I'm not a collector per se but I'd like to have a shootable SA Trapdoor. Would like to find parts or parts guns to build up my own. Non matching parts would be fine and preferable to keep the price down... Not looking to butcher nice guns but use bubba'd parts and stocks to make something presentable and shootable. Hoping to make a carbine clone... Not to fool anyone and not necessarily an exact replica, just something close to original using period parts for myself. Been looking on Gunbroker and a few of other sites and boards.

Any suggestions on where to get parts? Or is it getting too hard to gather enough parts to assemble a Frankin Trapdoor economically.


I've done this with other military bolt rifles to make a few nice shooters at budget prices... Can it still be done with Trapdoor parts?
