I'm trying to find a suitable powder to push my 335 gn lead gc bullets with. My H110 loads are not getting me what I want with this bullet. I see where some say WW-296 works better then others say Lil Gun or True Blue Enforcer work better. I realize there is a trade-off when shooting these large calibers in short barrels but I would like to hear from some of those who have hands on experience with loading for the Alaskan in this caliber.

^^^ That is a good question. And, I will add, what bullet ?
110 = 296
300-MP may get you more juice.

I'll be happy with 1250 to 1300 or as close as I can get.

Yeah, I know H110 & WW 296 use the same data but I read somewhere that WW 296 preformed better with these heavy bullets.

I would figure 1250. How high have you been with H110/W296?
How deep does the bullet seat into the case?
You will have to be running near max pressure for the bullet.
Do you have a chronograph?

Yeah, I know H110 & WW 296 use the same data but I read somewhere that WW 296 preformed better with these heavy bullets.
The reason 110 and 296 use the same data is because they are now the same powder, just with different labels on the jugs. The only difference between them is when you use powder from two different lots.

I am just talking out the side of my neck here because I have no first hand experience loading either 454 or a big magnums with a short barrel. But traditional slow burning powders such as Lil gun and h110/w296 & mp300 work great in magnum loadings but most of those guns have 7-10 inch barrels to take advantage of the slow powder burn... you may get better results with something on the faster side with the short Alaskan barrel.

barrel length doesn't really matter much with handguns. The powder that gives the best velocitys in a 7 inch barrel is probably going to do the same in a 3 inch barrel. For what you want to do here with your Alaskan 110 is going to be hard to beat. Limiting factor in the one I had was the cylinder metal. Its known to cause sticky extraction. I could get 300s to 1200-1250 with 26 grains of 110. Anymore then that and I had sticky extraction. A load that was very mild in my 454 freedom arms gun. Brass about fell out of that gun using that load. I don't know if ruger has addressed that problem or not. But for what I wanted it for 1200 fps with a 300 was just fine.

I do believe Ruger changed the steel to deal with the sticky extraction of the earlier guns. I am not sure when the change happened, or if it did. I do know lots of people complained of not being able to shoot max loads, particularly with the early full sized Super Redhawks.
