mold not closing

Hey fellas, I tried out my new lyman 358665 yesterday and i noticed after it got up to temp it wouldn't close quite all the way . i assume it was the alignment pins swelled. What is the best way to remedy this. thanks. todd

check the pins, they may need to be ajusted. check for burrs in the alingment holes,exteuded metal around the pins. some times you can get them to close by holding them closed with handles and give the side a whack wit a wood or rawhide mallet. Bill

If not the pins, check the handles to see if they're keeping the mould from closing all the way. Happens on Lyman handles. Usually a little file work will give clearance./beagle
