I shot a stinger into the dirt, but I am not a great shot with open sights. My brother will shoot it. He is a ringer with rifles, handguns, and shotguns. My truck is on order and should be here in 12 weeks, the camper will be 15 weeks after I order it. As soon as I get the camper I will visit my brother. He wants to clone the rolling block action. I will have open sight data then. Other wise I could make another clamp on scope mount and shoot it with a handgun scope.

Nice find. Congratulations. Looks like a great rifle too. It doesn't appear to have been used much if any as well.

Looks like a copy of the second model Flobert.

I wouldn't be shooting it with Stingers or any other high pressure ammo. Standard velocity target ammo might be too hot, try a few and see how it holds up. Certainly nothing loaded to much more than 1000 fps.

Made in 1951. It will be made of modern steel.

Isn't this a rolling block action and a Flobert action is more like a Trapdoor action?
